A lover of books and of words, Andee S. Davis is a teacher, writer, wife and mother. Her interests include reading, sewing, gardening, history, and Latin. She is a volunteer driver for United Blood Services, a member of American Christian Fiction Writers and of the Jane Austen Society of North America.
“I started writing in first grade. Growing up in a large family, I loved to curl up in an unoccupied corner with a good book and lose myself in the story. When I found one I especially loved, and hated for it to come to an end, I’d continue the story in a child’s tablet, complete with illustrations and plenty of staples to keep the pages together. One of those stories, written in seventh grade about Star Trek characters, my younger sister has kept all these years, and threatens to bring out at family gatherings. I barely remember it, but apparently it’s good for laughs.”
Presently, Andee is doing private tutoring and enjoys the challenge of making beginning Latin grammar interesting to her students in grades six and nine. She has previously published works in short story and poetry. Her contribution to Daily Devotions for Writers, a compilation of devotionals by 200 writers and published under the auspices of The Writing Academy, was released spring of 2008.
